GGCA OPENING Wed 1/17
Due to inclement weather and in accordance with Baltimore County Public Schools GGCA will be opening with a 2 hour delay Wednesday 1/17. Normal paid before care begins at 9:30 am school doors open at 10 am, classes begin at 10:15 am. Please drive safely!

Senior Night 2021

GGCA fans honored the Class of 2021 athletes at our annual Senior Night games.  This year’s graduating class included (left to right: Natalia Cannon, Madison Medley, Alina Occhiolini, Austin Nye, David Kirtz, Austin Baker, Jake Strunc, Jacob Shin, James Carter, and Justin Lynch). Thank you for your great leadership and giving us so much to cheer for!

New 1000 Point Scorer

James Carter becomes 16th Eagle to join the 1000 point scorers.  On February 19th he scored his 1000th point in his 3rd season as an Eagle. Congratulations James!

Philippe Serradji

Philippe is a Bible teacher at GGCA and has served in leadership roles in ministry for young adults. He previously served as Director of Maryland Bible College and has extensive international experience, having directed and taught at Bible colleges in Nîmes and Paris, France, for more than 20 years.

Philippe met Christ at the age of 13 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from the Institut Théologique & Missionnaire in France. He holds a Master of Arts in Ministry from Luther Rice University and Seminary in Lithonia, Georgia, and a Master of Advanced Studies in Apologetics from the Faculté Jean Calvin in Aix-en-Provence, France. He has also been a visiting scholar at Westminster Theological Seminary near Philadelphia and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Apologetics.

Philippe has been married to Françoise since 2000.

Ara Shishmanian | Vice-Principal

 

Ara joined Greater Grace Christian Academy as Assistant Principal in 2020, bringing extensive experience from a career spanning more than 60 schools. He is a Maryland-certified educator with 26 years of service in the Baltimore City Public School system, including 18 years as a teacher and 8 years in administration. He has also worked as a curriculum specialist and mentor of teachers, taught at Springfield Christian School in Massachusetts for 5 years, and previously served at GGCA in multiple roles.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Springfield College, a degree from Maryland Bible College, a Master’s in Education from the University of Connecticut, and an Advanced Certificate from Loyola University of Maryland. He is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Morgan State University.

Ara was ordained as a pastor at Greater Grace Church in 2023. He and his wife, Terry, have three daughters and a grandson.

Alumnus AJ Lewis Awarded Again!

GGCA Alumni AJ Lewis received two more honors at Hood College. In addition to being named MVP of the Men’s Track and Field team, AJ was also this year’s recipient of the Kim Servedio Award for the student athlete who best embodies sincerity, selflessness, and optimism. Kim Tanksley | 3rd Grade

Kim was born and raised in New Jersey and later moved to Maryland to attend Maryland Bible College and Seminary.

She and her husband are raising their family in Maryland. With more than a decade of teaching experience across a variety of age groups and subject areas, Mrs. Tanksley serves as a third-grade teacher at GGCA.

NACA Nationals – Dayton, TN

 

The varsity boys team traveled to Dayton, Tennessee for the NACA Nationals. It was a great time of competition, fellowship, and youth rallies with over 70 Christian schools in attendance. Justin Lynch was voted to 1st national team. Jack Brigham was voted to 2nd national team.
