Khrystyne grew up in Greater Grace Church and is a graduate of Greater Grace Christian Academy, class of 2014. She attended CCBC and Stevenson University and studied Human Services. She made a faith decision to enroll in Maryland Bible College & Seminary and is currently finishing her studies.
Amy was born in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up in Baku, Azerbaijan on the mission field. She was home-schooled her whole life. At age 15, she was a teacher’s assistant in Sunday school and served until she graduated high school. She also started her hobby in photography.
After graduating high school, she was led by God to attend MBC&S and is currently a member of its Student Council. At the same time, Amy worked for GGWO’s Youth Ministry. During her second year, she began to substitute at GGCA and was a part-time lunch monitor, while still working in the youth office. She has also served as an admin for the GGWO Nursery on Sunday nights. Amy is currently serving as a teacher’s aide in our kindergarten.
Mr. Cook is currently teaching in GGCA’s middle school. He was born and raised in Maryland and attended GGCA until 8th grade. After graduation, he attended Maryland Bible College and Seminary. He completed his practicum in Budapest, Hungary, where he fell in love with teaching at Greater Grace International School. What was supposed to be a six month assignment became seven years. While there he led the youth group and was a chaplain at GGIS. He’s also spent time as a youth pastor of a Korean group. Jon is a welcome addition to GGCA’s teaching staff.
Mrs. Plunkett has joined GGCA’s Admin Team and functions as an Assistant to the Principal.
She spent the last 18 years as a missionary in Asia. During her time there, she taught first graders at an international school, taught ESOL, and worked with children with autism. She is currently developing curriculum in the local language of the country where she served that will support Christian families and meet the educational needs of their children.
Mrs. Plunkett earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Maryland Bible College & Seminary and is completing her Master of Education with a specialization in child and family studies at Bryan College in December 2019. She is a pastor’s wife and has a daughter who is a member of the GGCA class of 2020, and an adult son who graduated from GGCA in 2016.
Mrs. Janssen has returned to GGCA to teach fourth grade after serving for three years at Greater Grace International School in Budapest, Hungary. She is accompanied by her husband, a pastor, and three daughters who are currently enrolled at GGCA.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Education from MBC&S in Baltimore, MD, a Master of Education degree from Bryan College in Dayton, TN, and speaks three languages fluently.
Mrs. Janssen is a passionate educator with more than 15 years experience teaching at various levels. Her teaching career started in 2001 at GGCA as a student teacher for the 3rd grade and the following year went on to become the 3rd grade teacher. In addition, she has worked as a music teacher, art teacher, Spanish teacher, and super sub, having taught 4th, 5th and 6th as the teachers either left or we’re on long sick leaves. After having three children of her own, she returned to teach 6th grade from 2012 – 2016. We are delighted to welcome her back to GGCA.
