State Champs – Division 1
Lady Eagles Repeat as D1 State Champs –
Our girls beat two solid teams: Kings Christian 55-41 and Takoma Academy 66-51 in the finals.
All Tournament players were Saleigha Fennel and Emily Hoffses, and Nickole Lee was named the MVP scoring 49 points in the two games).
Varsity Girls 3-Peat as Conference Champs
In a 50-29 win over Mt. Airy, the varsity girls took home their 4th MIAC championship in 5 years.
Five GGCA Seniors Represent MIAC in Annual All Star Game
Kelly Turner, Saleigha Fennel, Nickole Lee, Bella Pellegrino, and Nickolas Lee were selected to the All Star team. The MIAC team played the MACSAC all-stars.
Middle School Girls Take 2nd Place
The Middle school girls’ basketball team went undefeated in the regular season on the east side and then went up against a formidable opponent in Forcey at the championship game. They came very close but came up short.

Middle School Boys Take Basketball Title
In a 49-45 win, the GGCA team led by all tournament players Jack Hoffses, Reese Brooks, and Tristan Burns defeated Forcey Academy to bring home the banner.
JV Boys on Top
With only a 7 man squad, the JV boys won 41-34 in their championship game over Covenant Life.
Special congratulations to all-tournament players Isaiah Andrulonis, Brody Wright and Mikhail Knowles who led the charge.
Girls Varsity Basketball Wins Cecil College Tournament
GGCA girls got their revenge on Rising Sun and then went on to defeat Havre de Grace to win the Cecil tournament this year.
Congrats to Nickole Lee and Saleigha Fennel for making the all-tournament team.
Girls Volleyball Tournament Champs
Congratulations to our Varsity Girls’ Volleyball for winning the New Life Classic tournament on September 7th. The Eagles were the top team of this 6 team tournament. They are looking forward to a great season led by a stellar senior crew:
